Nestled 900 metres high in Rio de Janeiro’s mountain region (Serra Fluminense), Fazendinha Bela Vista cultivates the beans behind Café Cantares — a premium, 100% Arabica single-origin coffee. Our professional hands-on approach to harvesting, processing, and drying preserves the full depth of its flavour and aroma, while upholding social and environmental standards.

Two families cross paths through a shared love for the arts. On one side, piano notes and musical scales; on the other, poetry, theatre, and weekend treks through Rio de Janeiro’s lush rainforests. Binding them together was a deep, daily passion for exceptional coffee.

The marriage of Tiago and Tereza weaves these two worlds into a single tapestry. As the family grows, so does a shared fascination with birdwatching in the mountains of Nova Friburgo, state of Rio de Janeiro, deepening their connection to the rich biodiversity of the region.

Born from music, family heritage, and the joy of a sun-drenched country, Café Cantares comes to life. Named after the symphony of birdsong, the brand adopts the uirapuru (the legendary musician wren) as its symbol, blending this artistic atmosphere with the premium specialty beans of Fazendinha Bela Vista.

Establishing its new home in Niterói, Café Cantares enters a unique partnership with the Benedictine monks of the Monastery of Our Lady of Conception. The serene beauty of Gregorian chants and the ancient motto “Ora et Labora” (Pray and Work) now infuse our daily dedication to crafting an exquisite coffee.
